ATLAN-tec was founded in 1989 as a non-commercial company by Thomas Froese and partners. Initially, the focus was on engineering services and automation technology. In 1994, ATLAN-tec became a limited partnership and switched to the field of data analysis and modeling. Since 2005, ATLANT-tec has been a limited liability company with a holding company and a profit-sharing plan.
The company's target is the optimization of processes within process engineering. Realistic systems with finished solutions are increasingly replacing pure software solutions. The focus is on guaranteed plant profitability increase in the chemical, power generating, metal and oil industry and associated branches. Formerly very complex engineering services for the analysis of process data and for process optimization are nowadays widely standardized, automated and highly integrated. Data are automatically collected, compressed and allocated to models, which are used in combination with the knowledge of process for an optimized process control. Use of resources increases, production costs decrease, and product failure is reduced. The level of simplification is so advanced that no other internal resources are necessary for systems operation.
